Bekal Beach,Kerala

Bekal Beach and BekalFort, both cannot be mentioned separately since its beauty and attraction compliments each other. The keyhole shaped fort built by the Kadamba dynasty in the mid-1600s stands majestically surrounded by the vast expanse of the golden beach watching over the Lakshadweep Sea. The beauty of the place is aptly pictured in many Indian Cinemas.
Swimming at Bekal beach is dangerous, since the waves are pretty strong and rough. Another major activity is Trekking from Bekal Beach along the shores of the Lakshadweep Seas.
