The Mahatma Gandhi Beach or Kollam Beach is a long beach with a majestic Lighthouse, towering at a height of 144 feet. The beach is just 4kms away from the city. Hence a favourite hangout of city dwellers. On weekends the beach is crowded with families.
The beach also has a guard post. However swimming is not advisable in here.
