Kovalam is enriched with two beachesnamely Light House Beach, Hawa Beach alsocalled as Eve’s Beach and Samudra Beach. Lighthouse is the biggest and liveliest of the three. The red and white lighthouse towering on the Cliff in the beach has always been the icon of South India’s beaches. The beach is lined with many fresh sea food restaurants.Kovalam beach is also a surfing destination. The beach is preferred for swimming and sun bath. You can also spot fishermen in action on their catamarans.
If you wish to have bit of privacy, the best option is Samudra beach which is very secluded and calm.
